THE BIGGER PICTURE
Canada, on the other hand, came back strongly after losing their opening game to reigning champions Argentina. In their next two matches, Marsch's side registered a win and a draw to progress to the quarter-final of Copa America 2024.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
After watching the Canadians' progression in Copa, an X account named MLS Moves hailed the former Leeds United coach for guiding them to the knockout stages after taking charge of the team just one month back. The account went on to draw comparisons with USMNT boss Gregg Berhalter, under whom the team could see a group-stage elimination.
Twellman later responded to the X post writing: "1 goal in over 100 minutes of play being up a man…..let’s not get carried away here based on the group play of Canada producing 1 goal. You could make an argument that the Canadian attacking contingent is more dynamic and diverse than the US which I would probably agree with. Fact is Canada got through in a more difficult group away from home than the one US is in. Monday night is going to be fun. Finally, a game of real consequence to see where they are against one of the best."

WHAT NEXT FOR USA?
Berhalter's men must not lose against Uruguay on Tuesday while hoping that Panama drops points against Bolivia if they want to go through to the knockout stage. That will be easier said than done, with Marcelo Bielsa having Darwin Nunez and Co playing some scintillating stuff so far.
